The IPC-2221 calculator says one trace width for 3 A, but my two-layer board runs hot in a sealed enclosure with no airflow. I've widened pours and added thermal vias, but I'm not confident. For enclosed designs without cooling, what derating do you actually apply over the textbook numbers?
